The Balanced Mind Approach

First and foremost, I believe that anxiety is a normal human emotion that we all experience and there are reasons we should experience anxiety rather than trying to rid ourselves of it entirely. My approach at Balanced Mind Therapy is rooted in helping you be curious about and learn how to better understand your anxiety and what it is trying to tell you by finding a way to befriend your anxiety so that you can start to work with it and deal with it in a more balanced way.

When anxiety starts to overrun us, it becomes hard to deal with. I believe in helping you find ways to shift your perspectives and unlearn messages you were taught that without you even realizing it now may permeate into your daily life. I believe in finding a way to find mental balance so that you can live as more than just your anxiety.

If you’ve had…

  • chronic anxiety that you just can’t shake and feel like you’ve tried everything…

  • continued difficulty in relationships despite knowing what you “should” be doing but can’t feel it…

  • or unresolved but identifiable emotional wounds, past or present, you suspect are affecting you today that heighten your anxiety and lower your confidence about yourself

  • or just feel hopeless about every being more than your anxiety because you just don’t believe the words you are trying to tell yourself…

The Balanced Mind approach might be right for you because we’ll go beyond traditional talk therapy to help you uncover what you never knew may be driving your anxiety! Together, we’ll help you get control over it and find balance in your mind.
